Privacy
This policy covers the Atlas app and this website. The data controller is Reinaldo Assis, contact privacidade@reinaldoassis.com.
The Atlas app
Atlas is local-first. Your data stays on your device; there is no account, no Atlas server, no telemetry and no tracking. The app does not send your records to any server.
The app stores:
- Records you create: finances, habits, trackers, time blocks, notes, attachments and the life graph.
- App preferences (language, sound, haptics, currency, first day of the week).
- Subscription state, when you subscribe to Atlas Pro.
On Android this data lives in a SQLite database and files inside the app’s private area. On desktop it lives in the app data folder. Backups are manual and stay wherever you save them, including encrypted backups.
Device sync
Sync is optional and direct between paired devices on the same local network, with a 6-digit code to confirm pairing. There is no relay or cloud: data travels from one device to the other over your network. Turning sync off stops any exchange.
Atlas Pro purchases
On Android the subscription is processed by Google Play. Atlas only receives confirmation that the subscription is active; it does not receive or store your payment details. Payment data is handled under Google Play’s policy. You can restore your purchase in Settings → Atlas Pro → Restore purchase.
On iOS there are no in-app purchases for now; the app is installed through SideStore. The install guide explains the limits of that distribution. SideStore guide.
Permissions
- Notifications: local reminders for habits and time blocks, scheduled on the device itself.
- Local network / Wi-Fi: discovery and sync between paired devices.
- Storage/files: export and import the .zip backups you choose.
The app does not access contacts, location, camera, microphone or browsing history.
This website and the beta list
When you join the beta list, we collect the email you provide, the optional phone brand, your chosen language, the time of consent and the signup status (pending, confirmed, reserve, invited or completed). We use this data only to send confirmation, closed-test invites, beta reminders and your Atlas Pro code.
The legal basis is your consent. Signup uses email confirmation (double opt-in): without clicking the link, you are not added to the list. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in the footer of any beta email.
We do not sell, rent or use your signup for advertising. There is no profiling. The website does not require an account.
Who processes the data
- Vercel — website hosting and cookieless visit metrics.
- Neon — Postgres database that stores the beta list and reports.
- Resend — delivery of confirmation, invite and code emails.
- Cloudflare — DNS, email routing and Turnstile, the form’s anti-bot check.
- Google Play — processing of the Atlas Pro subscription on Android.
These providers may process data outside Brazil under contractual data-protection safeguards. We do not sell data to anyone.
Cookies and analytics
The site stores a cookie only to remember your language after you use the switcher. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and aggregated; it does not identify you. There is no cookie banner because there is no tracking to consent to.
How long we keep it
- Emails that never confirmed signup: deleted after 30 days.
- Beta participants and reports: kept until 12 months after the beta ends, to deliver the reward and answer questions.
- Unsubscribe: we stop sending emails immediately; the record stays marked as cancelled so you are not signed up again by mistake.
- App data: stays on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. There is no server copy to delete.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, portability or withdrawal of consent at any time by emailing privacidade@reinaldoassis.com. We reply within 15 days. If you are in Brazil, you can also complain to the ANPD.
Security
The website uses HTTPS. Access to the database and email keys is restricted. No system is perfect, but we minimize what we store: the beta list asks for no name, address, phone number or payment data.
Children
Atlas and this website are not directed at children and do not collect children’s personal data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we update the date above and email the beta list. The current version always lives on this page.
